2007-03-05 - Current status
Everyone who's scanning our pages here or who's reading the blog
http://mue.tideland.biz get's an impression about what's going on. Here is a short summary about the current status:
- Common Smalltalk Library (CSL)
The TidelandCommonSmalltalkLibrary has reached beta status. It is the base library for all our Smalltalk projects. So we'll soon release it, but it will allways be extended.
- Smalltalk Object Store (SOS)
The TidelandSmalltalkObjectStore is also beta. It works really fine, and as you can see at SosWorkItems only a few tests and the recovery in case of a crash while writing is missing. The algorithm for this last item is allready outlined but just not implemented. I've you're interested in testing just write a short mail to
mue@tideland.biz. - Lightweight Application Server (LAS)
The TidelandLightweightApplicationServer is still in alpha status. But the tests show a fast and stable working so that we'll change the status to beta soon. It works independent of the SOS and any web framework. So you can use it with Seaside and AIDA, with Glorp and EXDI, as you like it.
- Net Business Framework (NBF)
As the last brick of our foundation frameworks the development of the TidelandNetBusinessFramework has just started. The concept for a flexible mutli-client capable architecture supporting multiple locales, a fine grained authorization, and REST-like URLs will be realized and documented the next weeks. The NBF is based on the LAS.
